Dispatch Tools are available at the Asset Assignment level and at the Assigned Load level.
The Asset Assignment tools are located in a block on the right of the asset assignment under the Dispatch Tools column. Depending on the status of the asset assignment and the loads currently assigned to the asset assignment, not every tool is enabled on every asset assignment.
Planned Loads - shows the number of loads currently assigned to the asset assignment; click on this button to access the Planned Loads options
Return Load - when enabled, click this button to create a return load from the selected load
Reposition Load - when enabled, click this button to create a reposition load which originates from the asset assignment’s last location
Deadhead Load - when enabled, click this button to create a deadhead load which originates at the asset assignment’s last location and terminates at the asset assignment’s next pickup location
Assign Load - select a load from the Loads/Shipments side of the Dispatch tab and then click this button to assign the selected load to the asset assignment
Delete Asset Assignment - when enabled, click this button to delete the asset assignment; assets will be disconnected from this assignment and are placed back into the pool of unassigned assets
Edit Asset Assignment - when enabled, click this button to edit the selected asset assignment
Truck Post - when enabled, click this button to post the Truck to an external load board such as DAT or Truckstop.com; once the Truck is posted, click this button to manage or update the posting; use of this service requires subscriptions with the third parties and configurations within EKA; contact support@go-eka.com to connect to these services
Find Match - when enabled, click this button to find loads that match to the asset assignment’s location
The Assigned Loads options are available after clicking on the button.
Send Trip Details - click this button to send the trip details for the selected load to the driver; trip details are sent via the default method set in the driver’s profile including to ELDs or to an email
Dispatch - click this button to dispatch the load to the driver and move the load to Active Loads; after the load is dispatched, this icon is replaced with
Edit Load - click this button to open the load form for edit
Duplicate Load - click this button to copy the existing load into a new load
Drop Trailer - available and enabled only for a load with a trailer drop; click the button to enter the date, time and any comments about the trailer drop
Assign/Change Trailer - click this button to either assign a trailer to the load or change the assigned trailer of a load.
Route Plan - click this button to create a specified route plan for the load
Return Load - click this button to create a return load from the destination of the load to the origin of the load
Reposition Load - click this button to create a reposition load which originates from the destination of the load
Deadhead Load - click this button to create a deadhead load from the last revenue load’s destination to the origin of this load
Unassign Load - click this button to unassign the load from the current asset assignment
