Go to Carrier Operations → Loads → Dispatch → Map.
The Map View can be filtered by Asset/Equipment Assignment and Loads, Trucks or Trailers by selecting from the dropdown on the top left.
When the page is filtered by Asset/Equipment Assignment And Loads a list of Available Loads and a list of existing Asset/Equipment Assignments will be displayed on the left side of the page. When the page is filtered by Trucks or Trailers, these options are not available, and only the map will show and display the location of the assets.
Additionally, the Map View can be filtered by Asset/Equipment Assignment Filters and/or by Loads Filters. These filters are the same options that are available in the Dispatch Grid View.
The map will show icons on locations where there are existing assets and loads. Click on the icon to see the details about which assets are in that location.
Click on the arrow next to an asset or load to see more details. Each asset assigned to a load and each load will have route details available by clicking on that link at the bottom. The route details will open and display on the map.
To assign a load from the map view, select the desired load(s) and the desired Asset/Equipment Assignment from the options on the left.
When both are selected, the Assign and Plan options will be enabled at the top right of the page. Click Assign to complete the assignment.
The load will be assigned to the asset; you will need to return to the Grid view to complete the dispatch process and to send the trip details.
In addition to assigning loads to assets from the Map view, you can create a load using the Create Load button or you can create a new asset assignment by using the Assign Assets button. These functions work the same way here as they do in all other locations within the application where the functions are available.
