Driver drug and alcohol testing progress and results can be tracked in the Drug Testing and Alcohol Testing tabs of the Safety Manager role. The testing for each is tracked separately.
The settings to configure the threshold and frequency of drug and alcohol testing are in Carrier Admin → Configurations → Company → Driver Settings. The threshold is the goal of drivers tested in a calendar year by percentage of total active drivers. The frequency is used to determine how many drivers should be tested in a batch. The frequency of testing options are either monthly or quarterly. These settings are set independently for drug testing and alcohol testing.
Go to Safety Manager → Drug Testing and Alcohol Testing to access the Drug and Alcohol Testing tabs.
The testing progress is tracked by the progress bar along with the percentage of active drivers tested. The remaining amount of drivers that need to be tested is also displayed. Click the icon to add a new batch.
The number of drivers will be pre-filled with the amount estimated from the total number of active drivers, test frequency, and goal. This field is also editable in order to adjust the number of drivers fetched. Click Generate to continue.
The progress bar will display an update to the current progress. It will show the new drivers fetched, since the batch selection is random and can pick the same driver for multiple batches. The previous test information will also display for the drivers if it exists. The batch id is also pre-filled with the date, but can be edited. Click Generate to finalize the batch.
To add or edit results click the link within the Result column.
Select the appropriate result and upload a file. The result will be updated on the main screen.
To edit the result, or view the file upload, click the Result column link.
The result can be updated without uploading another file.
When adding additional batches for each round of testing, a new random set of drivers will be returned. These may be duplicates which will not progress the progress bar.
Additional batches or a larger batch may need to be added in order to hit the testing threshold.
The progress bar will turn green when the threshold is reached.
To export a csv of the table, click the Export CSV button. It will take filters into account and be sent to your email and mailbox.
