FMCSA inspections can be uploaded in the FMCSA Inspection tab of the Safety Manager role using an FMCSA .xml file.
To upload the file, click the Upload New Inspection button.
Click Close. After the file is processed, click the filter button to view the results. Each time the tab is accessed, you will have to re-filter for results.
Inspections can be marked as resolved by clicking the icon and then marking it as resolved. It can also be marked as unresolved.
Resolved inspections will show with a icon. This will update the status of the violations associated with this inspection. Files can also be uploaded to the inspection with a description. Multiple files can be uploaded and are tracked from this menu along with resolution.
Click Close to return to the main tab.
To view the violations for an inspection, click the icon.
Click the violation code to view a description of the violation.
These violations will be matched with existing asset information. Drivers are matched by CDL number and Trucks and Trailers are matched by VIN number. These associated assets can be updated by clicking the icon.
Search and select the asset and click Submit. If the asset is updated, filtering for that particular asset will not return the inspection. The filtering is based on the information in the FMCSA file.
To ignore a violation, click the icon. This will not remove the violation, but will set the status to ignored. When the inspection is resolved, the violation status will remain as ignored.
Click Delete to confirm.
Click Close to return to the main tab.
To delete an entire inspection, click the icon.
Click Delete to confirm. This will remove all of the violations associated with this inspection and the inspection will no longer display.
To export a csv, select the delivery method and then click Export CSV.
The report will be sent to your email and/or mailbox.
