To request load offers directly from carriers via their email, go to Load Management → Loads → Marketplace → Available Loads. Carriers do not need to have carrier portal access to negotiate and offer prices for loads.
Click on the next to the load to expand the list view options. In the Carrier List, tick the box next to the carrier name. Enter a price if desired, or leave price blank and click Request Price to initiate the process.
A modal will open to allow you to select which contact to request a price from.
New contacts can be added by going to the Add Carrier Contacts tab.
The added contacts will be available to request an offer from. Go back to the Confirm Carriers tab to send the email.
When a price request is sent to the carrier, the recipient has several options:
- Offer Price - This will open a screen where the user can gain temporary access to the application where they can access the same options they would have if they logged into their carrier portal for that specific load. They do not need to have carrier portal access. They can offer their own price to bid for the load. If you sent an offer when the process was initiated, they can also accept or reject the offer. The status of the negotiations will be updated accordingly. Temporary access will expire for the recipient after one day.
- If a user has access to the carrier portal, there is a link to log in where they can Accept, Reject or offer their own price to accept the load, depending on whether an offer was sent or an offer was requested. The status of the negotiations will be updated accordingly.
- The user can click the Contact Broker link to email the broker that submitted the price request to in order to pursue any manual negotiations.
If the recipient clicks the Offer Price button, this screen shows where they can access the load.
The carrier list will update to show that the carrier has an offer.
Carrier responses will also show in the tender summary accessed from the load card.
