To create and update Business Units, go to Carrier Admin → Configurations → Company. Setup of Business Units is mandatory.
Each Customer/Shipper and User must be assigned to a Business Unit. Users are limited to viewing customers/shippers and loads that are associated to the same business unit to which they are assigned. For information on updating or adding a business unit for a user, refer to this article. For information on assigning a business unit to a customer, refer to this article. A default business unit and customer rep can also be assigned. Refer to this article for more information.
Business Units with the type of Corporate Office will have visibility and access to all loads within a brokerage.
Business Units with the type of Agent Office or Broker Office will have visibility and access to loads assigned to their business unit only.
To create a new Business Unit click on the button. The location form will open for entry.
Complete the necessary fields and click Submit to save. All current Business Units will display in a list. Click on the icon to edit an existing location or click on the
icon to deactivate it.
