To create a batch, go to Finance → Receivables → Batch Entry.
Start by entering a Batch Description. This is a label of your own choosing to easily identify the batch. Select a Shipper Name and enter a Receivable Amt for that shipper. If multiple shippers are included in the batch, click on the Add Another Entry button to open another line for entry.
The Batch Total will update with each entry.
The application will generate a Batch ID for each batch entered. This ID number is the date of the batch creation followed by a number extension.
Once all entries are complete, click Save to save the batch. A confirmation screen will open. Click confirm to create the batch.
Only one active batch is allowed. If an active batch already exists, a message will appear to warn you and the new batch will not be saved. For information about importing a batch payment, refer to this article.
