Load visibility is based off of the business unit of the load and can be extended to additional business units based on sharing rules. Refer to this article to set those share settings. Users in a corporate office business unit will be able to see the load regardless of business unit.
Assigned Business Unit
When loads are created, selecting the Customer/Shipper sets the assigned business unit.
This assigned business unit is based off of the business units the shipper is assigned to. Refer to this article for more information on how to add business units to a Customer/Shipper. To add a default business unit and customer rep, refer to this article. Shipper and Carrier Operations Users within that assigned business unit will be able to see the load.
Coverage Business Unit
When you create or edit a load, the coverage business unit can be set based on the business unit sharing rules.
Users in the coverage business unit will be able to see the load. Carrier Operations users will be able to source the load and carry out negotiations and assign the carrier unless the Requires Approval assignment strategy is used. For more information about assignment strategies, refer to this article. Shipper Operations Users will be able to assign a carrier, but will not be able to access other features related to the load.
Booking Business Unit
When the carrier is assigned, the booking business unit will be set based on who booked the load.
In active and delivered loads, load visibility is based on the assigned business unit and the booking business unit. Users in both the assigned and booking business units will be able to see the load.
