The option to send a Bill of Lading is available in the Capacity Assignment and Active Loads tabs.
Click the icon at the end of the load row and then select Bill of Lading from the list.
In the Bill of Lading modal, complete any supplemental details that are required. The product details are included by default. If the box is unchecked, no commodity details will be shown on the BOL. Product details need to be entered in the Products section of the Load form.
If you are generating a BOL for a multi-stop load, and products are added that are associated with a paired stop, BOL pages will be created for each paired stop with one or more products. Only five products will show on each page, so if there are more than five products associated with a paired stop, additional pages will also be added.
Click Preview Bill of Lading to continue.
If the data is accurate in the Preview, click Save to continue. Alternatively, click Back to return to the New Bill of Lading Modal or click Close to exit without saving.
After clicking Save, an email wizard will open to select Operational Contacts to send the document to. These contacts are pulled from the Locations that are included on the load.
To download and save a copy of the Bill of Loading without sending it, click on Download Bill of Lading PDF.
To view a history of the Bill of Lading, toggle to the Bill of Lading history tab. Each bill of lading that is created will be available here to download or to review to whom the document was sent.
Each bill of lading will also be available in the Documents section of the load and can be attached to the customer’s invoice. If BOL is a required document and the auto-attach feature is turned on, these documents will be automatically attached to the customer invoice.
