Activation Selections
Brokers now have the ability to identify which MyCarrierPortal (MCP) statuses will be accepted to Activate a carrier. MCP has four statuses: Acceptable, Moderate, Unacceptable - Review, Unacceptable - Fail.
The current default setting is to Activate a carrier with statuses of Acceptable, Moderate and Unacceptable - Review. If you want to change these settings, please contact support@go-eka.com with the desired configuration.
Activate Inactive Carriers
In order to activate an inactive carrier, the 3rd Party Override function will need to be used. The Activate function that was previously active has been disabled.
Click on the carrier name to open the profile to edit. New fields will display in the Carrier Status section that show the current MCP Status and the date that the MCP data was last updated.
Click the Edit button to change the Status Override and Status Override Expiry. If the expiry is left blank, the override will persist regardless of status updates from MCP until the override is manually reversed. Once the override has been selected, you will be able to activate the carrier using the standard activate carrier process.
When selecting the expiry date, please take into consideration the amount of time that will be needed to complete the load through to delivery and settlement.
If a carrier is made Inactive before the load is delivered and settled, the application will not allow edits to the load, and the carrier will need to be made Active again. Carrier payments are allowed for Inactive carriers.
MCP Status Visibility in Carrier Preview
When clicking on the carrier name from Data Management or in Active or Delivered Loads, the carrier’s rating and last updated date and time will be displayed.
MCP Status Visibility During Carrier Assignment
During the carrier confirmation process, the MCP Status and MCP Last Updated At will display in the carrier price section.
Bulk Deactivation
A list of carriers that should be deactivated based on discrepancies between the carrier’s current status in EKA and the status in MCP has been provided. We are prepared to deactivate these through a bulk process if desired. If you want to pursue the bulk deactivation or need another copy of the list of carriers, please contact support@go-eka.com, and we will coordinate with you on the timing of the update.
